Eolian

Busy busy day! And it’s #BlackoutTuesday! We definitely need to stand up for our fellow black people, and fight for justice in this country. The United States of America was built on the back of Blacks and it’s high time we respect them.

Initial inference

Looking at the ending of the word, “an,” I would say it is either a noun or an adjective. I have come across a name, Aeolus from Homer’s The Odyssey when I read it back in middle school! He was the god of the winds, so I’m presuming this word means:

Of the winds, or the wind itself.

Definition and Pronunciation

adjective | ee-OH-lee-un

  1. borne, deposited, produced, or eroded by the wind

Example usage

I would use the word in a sentence as follows:

We can see the noticeable aolian patterns left on the loose sand when the strong, dry winds blow across the hot desert of Rajasthan.
